How to choose a laptop filter

This category stocks laptop filters from 10.5" to 17.3" - narrow the list with the Screen size filter on the right. If you know the device brand (Apple, Dell, Microsoft Surface), tick it in the Device compatibility filter to see only models dedicated to that brand; other laptops use universal variants matched by diagonal and aspect ratio. Choose the frameless (Edge-to-Edge) variant if your laptop screen has no visible bezel around the panel - otherwise the standard variant fits.

Common questions about this category

I do not see my laptop brand on the list - will I still find a filter that fits?

Yes, in most cases. We carry dedicated models for Apple MacBook, Microsoft Surface and selected Dell devices - for other brands the filter is matched by screen diagonal and aspect ratio, not by manufacturer name, because the 3M™ COMPLY™ mounting sticks to the bezel rather than to a specific model. Measure the screen as described in the "How to measure the screen" section above, or send us your laptop model and we will check the fit before you order.

Does the laptop still close normally with the filter fitted?

Yes. 3M™ COMPLY™ strips are a fraction of a millimetre thick and stick to the bezel itself around the panel, so the filter does not lift the screen and the laptop closes exactly as it does without it. Flip Attach tabs also let you flip the filter up without peeling off the strip, for the moments you need to show the screen to someone briefly.

What if I order the wrong size?

Before you order, double-check the screen diagonal and aspect ratio - that is the most common cause of a mismatch. If the size still turns out wrong, you can use your right of withdrawal: you have 14 days from receiving the parcel, and the procedure is described on the right of withdrawal page.

What is the difference between a frameless (Edge-to-Edge) laptop filter and a standard one?

A standard filter covers just the panel and mounts to the bezel around it. The Edge-to-Edge variant is wider and covers the whole glass surface of the laptop together with the narrow bezel - choose it if your device has a glass panel with no clear bezel around the screen (typical of newer ultrabooks). You can narrow this down with the Screen type filter on the right.
